FAQs

What am I allowed to do with the digital files from my photoshoot?

Your digital files come with a personal use print release which allows you to use your images for an unlimited time period with unlimited usage, except under any conditions which breach the copyright which is owned by RVS Photography (for example, entering images into competitions or commercial use). This means that you are welcome to print images, share them with family and friends, and publish them to social media, given that appropriate reference is given to ©rvsphotography

What am I allowed to do with the digital files from my commissioned commercial photoshoot?

Your digital files come with a single copyright licence which allows your business to use the images for an unlimited time period with unlimited useage, except under any conditions which breach the copyright which is owned by RVS Photography (for example, entering images into competitions or sharing with other agencies, institions or businesses). This means that your business is welcome to publish images in print and web forms. RVS Photography facilitates multiple copyright licences through a cost-sharing scheme. For each additional party which requires copyright access, half the charged day-rate is applied to the invoice. This enables smaller businesses to split the cost of the photoshoot with other businesses by purchasing multiple copyright licences.

How long will I have access to my online preview gallery?

Following your photoshoot, a password protected online preview gallery will be produced and published within a month. These will remain live for 3 months for you to place any product orders. After this time, your gallery will become inactive and goes into an archive.

What products do you offer?

  • Fine Art Prints, Canvases, Metal Prints and digital downloads can all be ordered directly from your online preview gallery, once your images are made available for viewing. Orders can be made up to 3 months after your gallery is published.
  • Following an engagement photoshoot, you may wish to purchase a Wedding Guest Signing book, featuring pictures from your shoot. These can be ordered through me after your shoot, or by contacting rvsphotography@icloud.com.
  • Hardcover or Softcover Preview Albums can be purchased in advance if you would like to view your images on paper, rather than an online gallery. Each page features 6 images and serves to facilitate subsequent orders.
  • A USB of all images from your shoot, delivered in a presentation box.
  • A premium quality Wedding Album, designed to showcase the photographed highlights of your special day.

What should we wear for our photoshoot?

There are no definitive rules regarding what you must wear. Your clothes represent your individuality and this is something which should come across in your images. However, there are a few suggestions here to be mindful of when preparing for your session.

  • Your clothing should not distract the eye away from you. Busy patterns or conflicting colours can take-away more than they contribute to the image.
  • Muted colours, such as pastel shades, are a good starting point. Consider using items of a similar colour or complementary colours when putting your wardrobe together.
  • Think about the style of images you’re after. You might like to have formal, posed images, as well as more casual pictures. In this instance, you may wish to bring a change of clothes to change the mood of your shoot during the session.
